The last facilitator! - Task 8

Hello I´m María and this week I´m the facilitator of the Umpalumpas group!

First of all this week we have made our last activity of SOYER subject. It has consisted on creating four imaginary profiles. This profiles was authoritarian, participative, transactional and transformational leadership. Each had to invent these profiles and creating an account of each on Fakebook.

For this week I divided the profiles in one for two persons, so:
-Maricruz and Maria: participative
-Ana and Alba: transformational
-Cristina and Yolanda: transactional
-Manuel: authoritarian

As Blanca was the star, they only learned the four profiles.

After, on Monday, when we were in class we had to get together with ItsSchool and the two groups had to defend the transactional leadership in a debate. We could do it better, we always can improve. And we think that the best group was Platypus with KK&KO, their arguments were stronger than the others. And personally I prefere the participatory's profile but I convinced them with its transformational profile. Congrats!

María Navarro.

Task 8 (star) ✨⭐️🌟

Hey there again!!!
I'm Blanca and this week I have been the star of the umpalumpas group, so as a Star, I would like to talk about my experience. It has been a little impresive due to the fact that the last exposition was funny and pleasant for the rest of the class. To be honest, for me, as a star it hasn't been confortable enough because I'm a very shy person and I am totally afraid of talking in public and pronuncing a speech, I do prefer do a presentation of power point and things like that where I don't actually need to expose myself to a largar group of people.
One different thing of this activity is that there have been a moderator (Rebeca, the star of the power teachers group!!) from my point of view she has done it very well and she also has been very fair.
While rebeca calculated the time and asked the answers, the rest of the stars was getting ready for answer those questions. I was the transactional leader just with a college called Marina Ferra, she was also the transactional with me.
The task has been enjoyable if you was sure about what to answer, but, however, I consider it to be very useful for our future and our fluency in english.
To sum up I'd like to give to you the links of the different transactional leaders right here:

The last #TRANSLATOR

Hello blogger this is our last post and this last week I have been the translator of my group. This last activity has consisted in create four profiles in fakebook of four leaderships for being the head teacher of a school and we have to explain in the profiles why the people must chose our four profiles: transformational, transactional, participative and authoritarian. Well here are the main concepts of this activity.

Transformational leader: is a kind of leader that want to transformate education with love, creativity and he want to teach students trought the imagitation doing big changes.

Transactional leader: is a kidn of leader that is focus on supervision, organization and group performance. He want to educate students rewarding them and if they fail punish them. This kind of leader is knowing for don't think in future only in mantain the same things.

Participative leader: a participative leader is a kind of leader that use the opinions of the students to practice the leadership. He listen and analize all the opinions and accept it if they are possibles and practics.
Authoritarian leader: is a lider who want that everybody fulfill his orders. His leadershipis based on obey him and know that only him have the reason and his decisions are the only and the best.

Fakebook: is a tool where people have te oportunity of create false profiles. Well people, this is my last post talking about our last activity and I have to recognize that I have finished loving post every weeks and these has been a good experience in which I have improved my expression and my use with technology.

Thanks for reading us all weeks, thanks for everything!!! See you soon!!!

The last #Analyst! (task 8)

Hi everyone! My name is Cristina Menargues and this week I am the analyst of my group.

First of all, I'm going to explain you the task of this week and then, my experience as analyst.

In this activity, first, we had to understand the four different types of leader that our teacher explained to us: the authoritarian, the participative, the transactional and the transformational.  Then, we had to create a four false profiles in “Fakebook”  for each one and make a kind of speech trying to convince that he/she was the best leader in order to the people vote him/her. Also, our star was assigned with transactional leader on Monday, so she had to defend and to argue in order that people vote for her.

On the other hand, I’m going to explain you how I consider this week has been.

In the first place, I would like to tell you the best and the worst part of the activity. The best was that it was an easy and fast task compared with the previous, and we already known some aspects of the types of the leaders. The worst part was at first, because we didn’t know how the exposition was going to be, but then, when we know it, we could relax and work hard!

Besides, the best part of the week was on Monday when we could listen to the stars and how they argued their role, because they did it really well when they had to expose how they are better than the others, criticizing the other types of leaders. But, I believe that the worst part of this week was on Thursday when we had to meet to make it, since we were tired and we wanted to go to our houses, but still, we could make it quickly and the time was very productive because the facilitator explain to us how we could start with the work.

This activity served to us in order to learn those four different types of leaders are, because I believe that in different situations of our life we can find them, not only in the school or in a job, but, also, we learned that expose your ideas rightly is very important, so, apart from have the knowledge, you should know how convince people, how your arguments and how you defended can make  the difference, that’s what we had learn this week and at the same time, it is what I believe that we, as a group, have to improve it, not for the next task, but yes for the exposition of the portfolio.

We have to be more self- confident because is going to be reflected in the entire course and in our degree, and the differences about the leaders too, when we will get a job or in different situations in our lives, so, it is good know the differences and how to act with each one, as we can saw almost daily in the social connection, in TV, in films like “The Interview” or “The Dictator” or even in the news when there are some problems with companies and their bosses.

Finally, I’m going to explain you what things I believe that we have to conserve as a group, because I already said what we should improve. We are a consolidated group, we care of each other when someone of us has a problem with the documents, doesn’t understand some specific aspect of the task… We are always trying to help us in order to make the work as better we can, so, I believe that it is a good point for us and it is an aspect that we have to conserve.

I hope you like the reflections of the analysts in this course!

See you soon, Umpalumpas!!

Journalist , Task 8 (Leadership)

Hello Umpalumpas again!!

My name is Yolanda and this week I have been the journalist of the group.

This is our last week in the course for doing activities so the activity of this week about leadership is the last!

We are so proud of our work, we thin that we have improved a lot since the first week with the task about T-PACK!
So now I will tell you the story about the week:)

This week we have to create four profiles in fakebook about all the types of leaders: Autoritharian, Participative, Transformational and Transactional. In the profile we have to put a description of the leader and also a photo ilustrating more or less the personality of the leader person.

We have to put our good arguments about each type of leader and we have also put the bad things of the rest of the leaders in order to defend it to win!
So ,to start the activity we met one day in the faculty of philosophy. We met on Thursday afternoon because all the members of my group want to meet this day because all of us go to our towns at the weekend.
On Thursday we take the fotos of the members of our group and then we create all the profiles, then with the photoscreate a collage with our photos of the profile.
First we have to read the documents about the characteristics of the leaders. Then we took our way!We think that this activity is easier than others because we think that the types of leadership are easy to understand, also because in our life we have often heard about the different types of leadership, we have heard about them and also we have watched the different types in films an so on, especially the authoritarian one , I think.

Monday, 18th.

First, we arrived at the university at nine o´clock in the morning, then our teacher Linda organize the leaders into the groups. My group was assigned the transactional one.
Then we worked with  Itschool group because they had also the transactional leadership, we had to look the others transactional leadership from our classmates, and we had to chose the best two profiles of fakebook, we decided to chose the profile of ItSchool and Bussy Bees.
Then our star Blanca have to defended our leader in front of the class answering the questions of the group of Rebeca (the moderator of the debate).

(Working with ItSchool)

(Linda explaining the debate)

(Our star Blanca defending the transactional
 leadership)

Finally I would like to recomend you two blogs, one of our classmates and another outside the university, so here they are.

  • The blog of our classmates is the following:

organizeyoureducation.blogspot.com.es
We think that we work every week so hard and they are an example of a nice group that we have to work with them in a fantastic way!

  • The group outside the university is the following:

https://es.pinterest.com/totemguard/el-blog-de-recursos-tic-para-profesores/
This blog is about tools 2.0 that the teachers could use with they students in Primary School, so we think that it is a fantastic pinterest that could help you to see more things about creative activities.

So thats all Umpalumpas, I hope that you have enjoyed the post of the journalists during the entire course, it is a pleasure tell you the story of our weeks!
BYE BYE!!
