THE FINAL GAME! - Star is in action!

Hi bloggers! I'm María Navarro and, once more, I've been the star with my colleague Cristina of the UMPALUMPAS!

Now I´m going to tell about the activity of the last week and my experience as star.

This seemed our definitive week God :$  We were playing to “Snakes and Ladders” and this game was about the LOMCE. If you have even played this game you known how to play with this but if you haven´t played…I recommend to you ;) It easy plays “Snakes and Ladders”, there are two basic rules: 1. If you fall into a snake box you lost you turn and 2. If you fall into a ladders box and your answer is correct…you will go up!

In this case the questions are about the LOMCE, as I have told before. Stars have worked with six topic, we have had to study all the questions about this topics and THE DAY OF THE GAME, THE DAY OF THE TRUE..we would to try all questions better than the others and…of course to be lucky because in the game there are many ladders L

If you want to do this game with you class you have to know that not all is bad! You can give your students some prize, it´s a good form for motivating them. For example, our teacher Linda establish the following prizes:

·                     1st position: a wild card or joker for each member of the group that he/she could change by one question (of the two questions) in the oral exam marked directly with a 9.5.

·                      2nd position: a wild card or joker for each member of the group that he/she could change by one question (of the two questions) in the oral exam marked directly with an 8.

As Cristina and me were the stars we were practicing with the die all the week and with our training in our house we were trained to play!

Well I think that you have seen more or less our last week work so I am telling you my experience. From my point of view it has got two faces, one good and one bad or regular although at the end all has been perks. Okeeeeey, in a first moment I was frightened but afer..I was motivated!

I think that in the one hand if Linda gave me the possibility this would be my opportunity for show my teacher that I am able to improve with the work as a start and the I prepared it with many willingly (all the time in my head I was thinking: “Come on Maria, you can!!”:)           Other positive aspect would be that for the final exam all the stars will know some things before our classmates.

And in the other hand..I am a shy girl and it was embarrasment for me because I don´t like speak in front of many people, BUT..WAIT A MOMENT you will be a techaer..you will have to speak in different situations and with different number of persons…GET USED TO IT MARIA! Oh, well so my idea of improve made me change my opinion about being star: it was a big opportunity for me.

During the game Umpalumpas group had not many lucky and we get some questions difficult for us, but our thinking in all moment have been positive. It´s true that we haven´t won the prize but at least we have learnt contents and other form of evaluating our students in the future.

I think the most important think I have already told you and finally I would add that the game have been I very good idea, it have been entertaining and dynamic but above all we have learnt amused.

And of course I want to congratulate all the other stars and especially to the champions, PowerTeachers (first place) and Keep Kalm and Keep Organized (second place).
