#Analyst (TASK 3)

Hi everyone! My name is Cristina Menargues and this week I am the analyst of my group.

First of all, I'm going to explain my experience this week as a group and then, my experience as analyst. 

In the first place, I have to say that this activity has had advantages and disadvantages and we had better moments than others.  So, from my point of view the best part of the activity was the second part, in which we have to create the power point in order to the star, Blanca, teach our classmates about a topic. I consider it the best part because of the fact that we could choose the topic that we wanted, it was a free topic, and so, the possibility to have a freedom to explain the vertebrate’s animals gave us the enough motivation to do our best.  I guess we chose this topic because of the fact that we found it entertaining and easy to explain.  But as I said, every moment of this activity were not good, I believed that looked for the information about Creative Commons Licences and the 20 tips for do a good exposition, the first part of the activity, was a little heavy, and sometimes, exasperating and frustrating, since although we know what it is copyright and how it is applied in platforms like YouTube or in the SGAE, we didn’t know anything about this kind of licences, so we had to understand well how it functions and what types of licences has. Apart from that, we had to start to use new platforms as FlickrCC and at first, we worried because we didn’t find no that we liked.

On the other hand, I would like to explain you what were the best and the worse part of the week in the work of my group.  In my opinion, I believed that the best moment was planning the activity, because although we had to take the decisions as a group, everyone were agree with the topic and excited about it, since we remember when our teachers taught it, which made us feel a little melancholy and made us already feel like being teachers. Nevertheless, it wasn’t everything like that, since the worse moment, in my opinion and I guess that from the point of view of the rest of the members too, was when the star exposed, since as it was when we realized the errors of the slides, and Linda, our teacher, told us the things that didn’t seem well to her, but we take it as constructive criticism and as a help to improve in the following activities.

Another point of this activity that I would like to highlight has been that we learn a lot of new concepts; we have learnt another kind of licence (CC), what it means, what kinds of CC licences there are and so on. Besides, we already know some new tips for improve our expositions, what parts there are, the structures to follow…, and finally, we have learnt about how to apply in slides photos with CC licence and then,  how to explain it to a “third grade students”. So, although we have to improve I believe that it was a productive week because of the learning a lot. . On the other hand, I strongly believe that this content is related to other contents of this course and in our degree, because what I explained will help us with the next expositions, the next slides that we would have to do since we already know where we have to search the photos, also, it will avoids any problem with copyright in the future and it will helps and supports as when we would have to teach our students. The concepts that we learnt we would have to apply in the rest of our degree for be more professional.

Finally,I’m going to explain what I consider we have to conserve and improve the next week with the new activity. On the one hand, we have to conserve our motivation to improve and our desire to do our best every week to get a high mark at the end of the course, but, on the other hand, we have to follow the advices and correct what Linda told us in class, like change the photos that we had wrong, put the references at the end and try to do a work that lace with the time that we have to expose.

As I said at the beginning of my explanation, now, I’m going to tell you my experience as analyst. As the word says, I learn to analyse the background of every moment of this week and this activity, what it is rewarding, but, on the other hand, mark the rest of the members of my group it isn’t something that I like to me, but I guess that there is the complication of this role. To sum up, I consider that it was a good experience and I hope you like it.
