Hi, everyone!
My name is Cristina Menargues and this week I’m
the star, so, I’m going to tell you how was my experience.
On Monday, the 16th of March, our
teacher explained to us the new task: “Changes in the Spanish Educational
System Overview: The Game”, which has five steps. This week, we had to do the
first step; understand the basics of the primary school and the administration
and governance at local and/or institutional level I in the new educational
law; the LOMCE. These are the topics
that we had to do for later, make a conceptual map with an internet mapping
tool, mindmeister, in which we had to compared the previous educational law,
LOE, with the new, LOMCE, and write the new modifications and the changes
between them.
That was the task for this week and now, I’m
going to explain my experience as star.
First of all, I have to tell you that when our
teacher explained to us the task and she told us that the stars henceforth didn’t
have to do an oral presentation I felt really relieved, because even if I had
tried to do my best, I would have put quite nervous. Nevertheless, I had to
work with my group as every week in the task.
The result of our work is the following:
In this
topic we had to be clear about:
- Aim and general objectives.
- Schools providing Primary Education.
- Education Policy.
- Legislative references.
And what we learnt of those specific contents is showed in this conceptual map, the same of in the second in which we had to be clear about:
- Administration at educational institutions level.
- Non-university institutions.
- Pedagogical and curricular organization.
- Organisational management.
- Management of resources.
On Monday,
the 24th of March, we started bad the day, because we couldn’t
printed the conceptual map before, so we decided print it that morning, what
resulted be a mistake and a bad idea, since we had problems to print it and
some of our members were in class and the others trying to solve the problem.
It was a bad experience because I felt very powerless not being able to show
the work that had taken us so long to do.
While our
members were out of the class, Linda, our teacher, explained to us that the
star could be the visitor, the native and only a star, and then, work with the
others group that had our same topic that I told you previously. First, I was
very confused because with the nervous that I had for don’t have the conceptual
map I didn’t understand it well, but
then, the members of my group achieve to
solve the problem and they could printed it so I could relax myself and start
to work with the groups: “Meerkats” and “7up”.
On the one hand, my group had to divide and
some of the members work with the topic of “Administration and Governance at
Local and/or Institutional Level I” and three of the members of my group and me
worked with the conceptual map of “The Primary School”. In this case, I worked
with the evaluators of the evaluation and with the native group, “Meerkats”.
In this moment, I realised that our conceptual
map was in part wrong, because we explained the LOE too, but we can work with
the part of LOMCE, so I consider that it could be worst. The task was evaluating
the work of the others consensually and I believe that it was very easy if we
follow the criteria that we chose.
On the other hand, after evaluated the works,
we had to choose the most completed conceptual map and deleted some concepts
and write others of the maps of the others group. We chose our work and then,
we set to work for the native group could upload it easily.
In general aspects, at first I felt very uncomfortable
when we hadn’t the work printed, but then, I believe that work with those
groups was terrific, we hadn’t no problem.
Regards!!
