Translator (Task 4)

Hello my lovely bloggers!!  I am Yolanda and this week I am the translator. Our 4^th activity consists in doing an infographic, comic or a timeline of twitter but we have chosen the infographic one. The activity consists in expose the disadvantages of the textbooks.

The five concepts that I consider that are the most important for this task are the following:

Textbooks: They are the books with educational contents that teachers and students use in classrooms. These types of books contain text and drawings to make the educational process more attractive.

Publishing house: It is a company that take the books and textbooks from their authors and transform them in book form. They also distribute books and textbooks to the bookshops for their later sale.

Stereotypes: They are the prejudices that a person has about a topic, also they are the beliefs that people has about, for example, gender, race, the inferiority of woman in the society and so on.

Infographic: `` Infographics are tremendously useful for presenting information that is difficult to understand through pure text. Infographics are more visual, clear, direct and easy to understand publications.´´Leturia, Elio (1998)

Dark side of textbooks: It shows the disadvantages of the textbooks. It represents the bad things that they have as we said in the presentation such as the price, the ideology, and the politic point of view. Textbooks contribute to the lack of professionalism and the learning of only one culture.
